      1. STORE YOUR JEWELRY CAREFULLY :

The best way to store fashion jewelry is by keeping them separately in cotton or velvet pouches to prevent them breaking, tangling, or tarnishing. You can also hang the necklaces vertically on hooks so that they are separate from each other.

      2. NEVER APPLY NAIL POLISH COATS ON YOUR JEWELRY : 

You would often find people recommending using nail polish to maintain the luster of fashion jewelry. However, coating may actually lead to tarnishing its shine or it may result in peeling of the plating as it gets off the jewelry.

      3. CLEAN YOUR JEWELRY AFTER USING IT : 

To remove the product residues of perfume, cream or even water that might up accidently landed up on your jewelry, you must always make it a habit to clean it before putting it back to its place. It may sound laborious, but then to make your jewelry last longer, you’ve to put in some extra efforts, don’t you.

      4. DON'T WASH DISHES OR DO LAUNDRY WITH YOUR JEWELRY ON : 

Many cleaning products that encounter your beautiful jewelry that can take off the finish. Why? Because of the harsh chemicals.

      5. DON’T USE HARSH WATER ON JEWELRY : 

Chlorinated water can react with the metals found in jewelry causing your awesome bangle or necklace to change color.

      6. DON'T PUT ON LOTION OR PERFUME WITH YOUR JEWELRY ON :  

For the same reasons listed above, lotions and perfumes that are not 100% natural can react unfavorably with your jewelry. Basically, keep your jewelry away from the following:

• water
• dishwashing soap
• lotion
• perfume
• silver cleaner
• other harsh chemicals

7. PUT YOUR JEWELRY ON AFTER YOU PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON AND BEFORE YOUR TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF :

Doing this will ensure that your clothing doesn't get caught on your sweater or t-shirt during the clothing removal process. An accidental pull of your necklace while taking off your shirt can cause a chain or string to break!

8. KEEP YOUR JEWELRY SECURE :

Store your jewelry in a jewelry box or other secure container that will prevent your baubles from moving around. You can also store your jewelry in a silk or velvet pouch and put each pouch in a decorative shoe box.
